Acai Palm
The Acai palm (Açaí Palm) is in the palm
family of the genus Euterpe. Acai palm and 6 other palm species
are native to Central and South America. Acai palm trees
usually grow in floodplains and swamps. Acai palm is sometimes
referred to as Euterpe oleracea, a name derived from the
Portuguese name for acai berry juice. Over time the Acai palm
has earned many different names based on Acai fruit and Acai
juice.
The fruit of Acai palm
The fruit of the Acai palm is called
Acai fruit or Acai berry fruit. The fruit of the Acai palm is
about 1 inch in diameter similar to a dark purple grape but not
as much pulp.

How many seeds has the Acai palm fruit
got?
The fruit of Acai palm has one large seed in
the middle, similar to a raspberry with one single seed instead
of multiple seeds like grapes or blueberry. Research has shown
that Acai berry from Acai palm is one of the most nutritious
foods. Acai berry fruit has subsequently been named "superfood"
by a lot of people.
What does Acai juice taste like?
In its raw form, Acai juice tastes like a blend of berries
and chocolate. It is the purple pigment in Acai fruit
from the Acai palm tree that makes Acai juice or Acai
berry such as perfect food full of amazing nutrients.
Although, Acai fruit or Acai berry itself is not yet available
in supermarkets in the United States and most of the
world, many companies have manufactured Acai juice,
Acai berry juice and Acai drinks that can give similar
health benefits to Acai fruits.
